What’s Your Unique Value Proposition—and Growth Potential—as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach?
The role of a Scrum Master or Agile Coach is highly multifaceted, requiring adaptability based on the team’s context and level of experience. From coaching and facilitation to removing impediments, the skill set is broad—and because the impact is often indirect, it can be difficult to clearly assess the value being delivered.
We support Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches in clarifying their strengths, identifying growth opportunities, and articulating their unique value proposition. Using our original assessment approach—rooted in role plays and case studies—we help you deepen your self-awareness and provide constructive feedback and mentoring to guide your ongoing development.

Step 1:
Casual interview
- We’ll start with a relaxed conversation to learn more about your background and goals.
- We’ll also discuss how we might move forward together—and of course, we’ll sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to ensure confidentiality.
Step 2:
Capability Assessment
- Over the course of approximately three hours, we’ll assess your capabilities through role plays and case studies.
- The evaluation covers your professionalism, soft skills, and ability to collaborate effectively with Agile teams.
- To reduce cognitive bias, we involve multiple assessors whenever possible.
- You’ll also complete a short self-assessment using the same criteria, helping you reflect, identify blind spots, and deepen your self-awareness.
Step 3:
Feedback & Mentoring
- We provide thoughtful, in-depth feedback based on your assessment results.
- You’ll receive honest insights into both your strengths and areas for improvement, along with coaching or mentoring support as needed to guide your growth.
- We also share a comprehensive report that you can refer back to anytime.
Step 4:
Follow-up
- After the assessment, we’ll reflect on the progress you’ve made and any improvements observed.
- If needed, we’ll provide additional coaching or mentoring to support continued development.
- We’ll also look back on how the overall assessment process supported your growth and learning.

Feedback is a gift—and we want to offer it to those that are willing to grow.
The role of a Scrum Master or Agile Coach is complex and experience-driven, requiring careful consideration of both the team and the broader organizational context. To effectively support their teams, they must skillfully combine a wide range of approaches—mentoring, coaching, facilitation, problem-solving, and removing impediments. At the same time, because their contributions are often indirect, their impact can be difficult to measure. This reality makes the work of Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches both fascinating and challenging—it can be hard to clearly define their individual strengths or determine concrete next steps for growth.
At Agorax, we help Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches articulate their unique value proposition within their teams and organizations. We also work with them to uncover potential blind spots and identify meaningful opportunities for development.
Our assessment process is a refined blend of role play and case-based scenarios—uniquely designed and continuously improved over years of practical experience.
